Natural Black Brown Shetland DK
Natural Black Brown Shetland DK
A soft natural black brown yarn from our Shetland flock at Leatherwood Creek Farm in Tennessee.
We raise our sheep for beautiful, useable wool--with an emphasis on fine fleece, natural color, and the distinctive character that makes Shetland wool so special. Each skein represents a little piece of our flock and the farm where it was grown.
Our Shetland wool is naturally colored, so the beautiful shades come directly from the sheep rather than from dye. Colors range from soft whites and silvery grays to deeper charcoal, black and rich brown.

About Our Wool:
Our Shetland flock has an average fiber diameter of 24 microns and average comfort factor of 89.8%. Individual fleeces naturally vary, but we select our breeding stock with fine fleece and good hand in mind. The result is a yarn that is soft, lightweight and warm.
Because this is farm-grown wool produced in small batches, slight variations in color and texture are part of what makes each batch unique.
Thank you for choosing wool grown directly from a small family farm!
